The United States has secured a spot in the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after emerging victorious from Group D, setting the stage for a highly anticipated matchup against Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 1 at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium.
Following decisive wins over Paraguay and Australia, which sealed their position atop the group, coach Mauricio Pochettino opted to rest key players in the final group-stage match, resulting in a 3-2 loss to Türkiye after conceding a late goal to Kaan Ayhan in stoppage time.
Fortunately for the Americans, the outcome of the match had no bearing on their seeding or path forward in the tournament.
